Your data, plainly

What this website stores about you, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. Last updated 26 October 2026.

1

Who we are

This website belongs to Gipa Gaming, a Discord gaming community. For anything about your data, message a Gipa Gaming admin on our Discord server. The admins are listed under "Meet the team" on the home page.

2

If you sign in with Discord

Discord tells us your Discord ID, username, display name and profile picture, whether you're a member of our server, and the date you joined it (used for the prize game's 7-day rule). We never see your email address or password. We check your server list only to confirm membership, and we don't keep it.

We keep your name and profile picture so you can appear in "Signed in now" and, if you're on the team, in "Meet the team". You stay signed in for up to 7 days.

3

If you register for a tournament

We store what you type into the form: the team name, player names, in-game IDs, and any Discord usernames you add. If you register a team, make sure your teammates are happy for you to give us their details.

The public website only shows team names and how many players each team has. Admins can see the full line-up so they can organise matches.

Counting visitors

To show "On the site now" and "Visits this month", each browser tab makes up a random code and sends it every 40 seconds while the page is open. We don't store your IP address or anything about your device. Live-visitor records are deleted after a few minutes, and monthly visit records after two months. If you're signed in, your Discord ID is attached so your picture can appear in "Signed in now".

The quokka prize

When you reach 100 boops, we record your Discord ID and the date so each account gets only its daily chances. These records are deleted after a week. To spot one person winning with several accounts, we also keep a scrambled code of your internet connection. It's made from your IP address with a secret key and can't be turned back into it; we never store the IP address itself. The code is deleted after 30 days. If you win, we keep your Discord name, the claim code and whether the prize was paid, so we can pay you and keep honest records.

Find a team

When you post on the "Find a team" board, everyone who visits the website can see your display name, profile picture and Discord username (so people can add you), plus the game, time and note you wrote. When you tap "I'm in", your name and picture appear on that post. Posts, and who joined them, are deleted automatically 3 hours after posting or 2 hours after the start time. Admins can take any post down.

Winners wall and winner cards

If you win a quokka prize, the Winners wall shows your display name, profile picture, the prize, the date and whether it was delivered. It never shows your claim code or Discord ID. Admins may add a photo of the hand-over, only with your agreement. Ask an admin and we'll take your win off the wall. Winner cards are made on your own device: the picture isn't uploaded anywhere unless you share it yourself.

Visitor statistics

To learn which parts of the site people use, your browser sends a few anonymous counts: that a visit happened, its language, whether it's a phone, tablet or computer, which website linked here, which sections were reached, and which buttons were used (for example "sign in" or "add to calendar"). No cookies, no IP addresses, no Discord ID and no personal code are attached, so nobody can be identified. Daily totals are kept for up to 400 days. Your profile page uses data we already hold (above) and only you can see it.

5

Cookies and storage on your device

We use one sign-in cookie, plus a short-lived one while you sign in. Your browser also remembers your language, the effects setting, your boop count and the visitor code. There are no advertising cookies and no tracking.

For the new features your browser also remembers whether you've read the rules, taken your first roll or hidden "New here?", and whether lite mode is on. These stay on your device.

6

Other services involved

  • Netlify hosts the website and stores the data above.
  • Discord handles sign-in and provides the member counts.
  • Google Fonts and YouTube supply the fonts and the latest-video picture, so your browser connects to Google to load them.

We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

7

How long we keep it

Tournament registrations are deleted within 90 days after the tournament ends and prizes are delivered. Winners' names stay on the Winners wall unless they ask us to remove them. Sign-in profiles are kept until you ask us to delete them.

8

Your choices

Lost your Discord account? Sign in once with your new account and message an admin. After checking it's really you, they can move your prizes, claim codes, roll count and tournament entries to the new account, and the old account's profile is removed. Every move is logged.

You can withdraw your own tournament registration at any time from the registration form. To see, correct or delete anything else we hold about you, message an admin on Discord and we'll do it within 30 days.

You must be 13 or older to use Discord and to sign in here.
